5 teams entered, including ISR and SYR seeded in Europe. SYR withdrew after seeding solidarising with African countries. The entry of FIL was rejected due to payment delays. KOR withdrew. The remaining team (KLD) played against the only entered team from Oceania, AUS.

Oceania

AUS entered as first country from that confederation, played against KLD after other Asian countries resigned.
