NB: Originally this match was to be played as "Copa Interamericana 1987" 
    between CONCACAF Champions Cup 1987 Champion (América) and Copa Libertadores 1987 
    Champion (Peñarol), however, disagreements between CONCACAF, CONMEBOL and the organisers 
    of the match, caused the change of the name of the tournament to "Confraternidad", 
    finally Club América was fined and suspended for 2 years of CONCACAF tournaments.
