Final [Mar 22, 1899; Church Litten; att: 1500] 
Ryde                abd Sandown             [abandoned at 1-0] 

NB: Ryde striker William Jones scored the winning goal with a few minutes left;
    he collided with the Sandown goal keeper, who broke some fingers, while Jones
    died two days later from his injuries; Ryde declared that they preferred that
    Sandown should be awarded the game, but Sandown had no wish to have either the
    cup or medals in these circumstances.
