New Year Tourmanent Italy 1981

This tournament was created for the Serie A teams in the 1980/81 winter
break because the national team played the "Copa de Oro" in Uruguay.

Each team could field two foreign players (as opposed to one in the
league championship), but only Fiorentina (Swedish defender Mikael
Ronnberg), Inter (Yugoslav forward Kovacevic) and Udinese (Austrian
defender Dieter Mirnegg, then playing at Como) used this opportunity.

Another change was that throw-ins were replaced by kick-ins, and the
points system offered bonus points for large wins: 1 for a 2-goal win,
2 for a 3-goal win, etc.
