From 1921 to 1926 the championship was decided in a series of tournaments
played between five (1921), eight (1922-23) and nine (1925-26) teams.
The 1920 championship was abandoned due to the Soviet war. The 1924
championship didn't take place because of Olympic Games preparations.

Poland 1927
From 1927 to 1939 there existed a formal league, first composed only from
the teams affiliating to Polish Football Association (PZPN), joined in 1928
by Cracovia Kraków. There was no second division; instead, winners
of the regional leagues (usually four, called "B-classes") would met in a
tournament ("A-class") to decide the one (two from 1936) promoted team(s).
