(a) This Cup Season was played only between the first 16 of 20 teams at 
    the  end of the first leg season. Tigres ended in the 18th place, so
    they were not allowed to play this Cup Season.
(b) Tigres tied 0-0 with Cancún, but they were eliminated 2-4 on penalty 
    kicks.
(c) Tigres tied 1-1 with Hermosillo, but they won 4-2 on penalty kicks.
(d) Tigres tied 0-0 with Santos, but they won 4-3 on penalty kicks; they 
    also tied 2-2 with Monterrey, but they won 5-4 on penalty kicks; they   
    also tied 1-1 with Cruz Azul, but they were eliminated in semifinals
    3-4 on penalty kicks.
 
The Mexican Cup Tournament has been contested by the members of the 
"Liga Mayor" and by the First Division, after 1950, when the Second 
Division was formed, except for five years in which Second Division
and First Division "A" clubs have participated (1956-57, 1963-64,
1994-95, 1995-96 and 1996-97).
