March 1986: Costa do Sol (Mozambique) participated, along with local clubs, in a "Torneio Internacional de Futebol" commemorating the 9th anniversary of the creation of the Direcção-Geral de Educação Física e Desportos de São Tomé e Príncipe. This was reportedly the first time that a club from Mozambique had visited São Tomé and Príncipe. Results 5-Mar-86 Vitória do Riboque 1-2 Costa do Sol 7-Mar-86 Trindade FC 1-5 Costa do Sol 9-Mar-86 Santana 2-2 Costa do Sol 12-Mar-86 Santana 0-2 Costa do Sol A match was also played en route, at Luanda: 17-Mar-86 Petro Atlético 2-0 Costa do Sol May 1986 According to "Notícias" (Maputo; edition of 12th June 1986), a team from Cape Verde visited São Tomé e Príncipe in May 1986, but this has not been corroborated. June 1986: UDIB (União Desportiva e Internacional de Bissau, Guinea-Bissau) participated, along with local clubs, in a "Torneio Quadrangular" commemorating the anniversary of the foundation of the Federação Santomense de Futebol. This was reportedly the first time that a club from Guinea-Bissau had visited São Tomé and Príncipe. Known results (dates approximately 7-14 June) Trindade FC 0-1 UDIB Vitória de Riboque 0-1 UDIB Santana 0-3 UDIB July 1986: Ferroviário do Maputo (Mozambique) participated, along with local clubs, in a tournament commemorating the 11th anniversary of the independence of São Tomé and Príncipe. Known result: 16-Jul-86 UDESCAI 2-2 Ferroviário
