World Championship in 1888


In May 1888 a match was played in Glasgow between the Scottish Cup holders, Renton FC, and the English Cup holders, West Bromwich Albion, to decide the "Championship of the United Kingdom". The game was known also as "Championship of the World".
Played at Hampden Park. Attendance 6.000
