USA - Women's Professional Soccer


The WPS is the top division of women’s soccer in the United States, and the only fully professional women’s soccer league in the country. The league will begin to play in the spring of 2009. Teams have been announced for seven cities with more to come. Their webpage is at http://www.womensprosoccer.com. The season will conclude with semifinals and a final match, as well as a mid-season all-star game.


Scoring system: (2009-present):  3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw,
and 0 points for a loss.
