Henan 1-0 1-1 August 1st (Army)

The league was reformed after the 1992 season, with professional clubs
being created. In 1993, an experimental championship took place, along
with the National Games. When the new professional league started in
1994, the first level (Jia A) contained the 8 Jia A clubs from 1992,
along with the top 4 from Jia B (Jiangsu, Jilin, Shandong and Sichuan).
The second level (Jia B) contained the six remaining clubs from the
1992 Jia B along with the top 4 from Yijidui (Qingdao, Wuhan Steelworks,
Guangzhou B and Hunan), and two Tianjin sides (A and B). Tianjin had
entered no teams in the 1992 season.

When the 1994 league began, virtually all the clubs had sponsors. The
Wuhan Steelworks organisation had taken over Hubei (based in Wuhan),
so they entered two teams (A and B) in 1994. Shenyang Army Unit withdrew
before the 1994 season began, so Jia B played with 11 teams.
