Names.
1. Previous association: "Association Argentine Football League". Founded in 1891 and dissolved. Season: 1891. 2. Official association: Asociación del Fútbol Argentino. 2.1 It was founded as "The Argentine Association Football League" on February 21, 1893. Seasons: 1893-1902. 2.2 It was renamed as "Argentine Football Association" in February 1903. Seasons: 1903-1911. 2.3 Then, "Asociación Argentina de Football" in February 1912. Seasons: 1912-1926. 2.4 Then, "Asociación Amateurs Argentina de Football" on November 28, 1926. Seasons: 1927-1930. 2.5 Then, "Asociación Argentina de Football (Amateurs y Profesionales)" on June 20, 1931. Seasons: 1931-1933. 2.6 Then, "Asociación Argentina de Football" on November 24, 1933. Seasons: 1933-1934. 2.7 Then, "Asociación del Football Argentino" on November 3, 1934. Seasons: 1934-1939. 2.8 Then, "Asociación del Fútbol Argentino" on October 10, 1939. Seasons: Since 1939 up to now. 3. Dissident associations: The following associations were merged into the official one: 3.1 "Federación Argentina de Football". It was founded on June 14, 1912 and merged on December 23, 1914. Seasons: 1912-1914. 3.2 "Asociación Amateurs de Football". It was founded on September 22, 1919 and merged on November 28, 1926. Seasons: 1919-1926. 3.3 "Liga Argentina de Football". It was founded on May 18, 1931 and merged on November 3, 1934. Seasons: 1931-1934.

We use the following methods as first tie-breaker: 1891-1955: Goal Average. 1956-1966: Points won between teams with same position and the 5 first teams of the table. 1967-1970: Goals For. 1971- up to now: Goal Difference.
