Professional Cup Champions

Beginning in 1943 the "Liga Mayor" was formed with 6 clubs from the Mexico City "Primera Fuerza" League, two clubs from the "Liga de Occidente" (Western League) and two more from the "Liga Veracruzana." Since then the Cup has been contested by the members of the "Liga Mayor" and by the First Division, after 1950, when the Second Division was formed, except for the years in which Second Division clubs have participated (1956-57, 1963-64, 1995-96, 1996-97 and since 2012-13). The 1994-95 season was the only one in which clubs from three levels (Primera, Primera A & Segunda División) entered.
